Did anyone every give Coldplay something during a concert?

Featured Replies

In St. Louis (Sept. 2005) my buddies and I bought a disposable camera and wrote on there to finish the roll of film and send the pictures back to my home address. When Guy (bass) took the camera and read the note on it, I was SUPER excited! He gave me a thumbs up and it seemed like he knew what I was asking for. Does anyone have any idea what they do with "gifts" from the audience because (this comes to no surprise)....I haven't received pictures mailed from Guy yet and it is Feb. 2008....

Any other stories out there like that? Or did anyone else give Coldplay something during the concert?

i gave them a round of applause if that counts

I saw them in Indianapolis and St. Louis...both pretty much front row. I even had Chris use my cell phone when they sang "Talk"....no lie!

Then in Chicago I saw them (again....same summer) but I was way far back. I gotta tell ya...once you go front row, you can't go back!

haha. I hope you didn't delete whatever chris took on your phone

Well....to make a long story short...I was a Cingular Wireless user then...and my calls kept failing as he was trying to call (I noticed because I went back to see what he did and everything).

He was trying to call a one of my buddy's cell phone...who happened to be standing right by me with our mouths open that he was using my cell phone!

To make a long story even shorter....I have a Verizon Wireless cell phone account now!!!

haha, thats stilll and awesome story...

well i'm going to go to bed... good night:)

I was front-row centre in Toronto, and there really is no going back. It spoiles you, lol.

Closest I've come is trying to get a copy of HWSTW to the guys. I don't know if they've heard it or not.

Mohegan Sun Show

Well, I didn't actually give them anything but during In My Place when Chris runs around the floor, I was in the second row behind the soundboard. He stopped right in front of me to sing and I reached out and ran my fingers through his hair (of course it was a sweaty mess, but that was ok).

At the end of the show I asked the soundboard guy for the set list copy. He handed it over. Best concert to this day. :wink3:

I made a sign on the back of my printed out ticket. It said: " Good Luck on the DVD!" because it was in Cleveland the last show before they went to Toronto to film footage for it. All of them saw it, even Chris brought Jonny over to my side of the stage and pointed to it. Everyone around me was hollering "They got you!"

But then the DVD never came out. Just a special. Bah.

I would never have washed again.

Well, I did.

After the promotional concert in Madrid in April 2005 when the sound technicians were picking up the instruments of the stage I gave to "Lucky Luck" (Guy Berryman's sound technician) a nice ribbon for Guy's bass guitar because was his birthday.

I also wrote a short note for him in the package where I congratulated him and I wrote my mail but I still haven't found any response from him.

So that's my negative experience about giving things to the boys during concerts(well in this case, after concert).

Greetings from Madrid!!
