AHHHH!

i might try to GO to this. like no kidding.

oh WAIT. NO. i'm seeing pearl jam in CT that night. dammit.

well, i'l DEFFI get up early to watch it on TV. hello.

Ack, thats a bummer. I don't think they're gonna be showing it here in the UK at all.

On that note, will somebody be so kind as to record this performance? :D

hmm. i might try to finagle a way of going. i'll see if my friend has access to her NYU dorm still then, and i can spend the night in the city and get up at like 3 AM to wait in line and get a good seat/place. then i'll have to high-tail it home, sleep, and then get up to go see pearl jam. two concerts in one day? HELLS YES.

they'll probably play max. 3 songs, though, so i'm wondering if it's worth it. perhaps i'll just wait until the proper tour. if it was at night i'd do it, but 8-9 AM for three songs is somewhat pushing it when i can definitely see it on TV.

EDIT: i can record it! but i don't know how, i've only got a VCR. if someone can teach me how in the meantime, though, then DEFINITELY.

Woah, 2 concerts in 24 hours would be fairly intense. I suppose as long as they're not within 5 hours of each other, then it should be fine.

Hey, its no problem if you can't record it. I'm not sure if you can even get a VCR recording uploaded onto the net somehow. I hope there'll be a way to stream it from their website somehow, like BBC's iPlayer. But thanks for offering :D

i just thought maybe there was some program that you use to digitally record stuff to your computer, because i've got a new TV that can hook up to the computer. i don't even know if that's possible, though. somehow thousands of people manage it on youtube, though.

i think there's a high chance it'll be on the today show website, though. i've just got to remember to set my alarm that day so i don't miss it. i'll get up at 7AM on summer vacation for coldplay!

This means they will be in the States around the time of the major music fests......... like Lolla and All Points West...... hell yeah! not that it means anything, but it would be nice to see them at Lolla. Actually it would be amazing!

I will die if they play at lolla... right now it looks like NIN and RadioHead

headlining

To the best of my knowledge, none of the Lolla headlining slots have been "officially" confirmed (or at least announced though it's fairly certain that Radiohead and NIN are headlining.) however, even if both of those bands do headline, there's still an open headline slot for the third day...

yeah, if i can't get the music first thing in the morning (i'm not expecting to be able to unless i get it early, which i hope works out), i'll be completely useless the rest of the day. i suppose i have lots of time to work out the logistics later, but i'm just thinking of the summer my mom made me wait until we got back home to get the 5th harry potter book, and i just about melted someone with my glare the entire time we were on vacation. if i can't get VLVOD while on vacation, there will be HELL to pay. worse than glares.

Just because they have not officially announced a release date for VLVOD DOES NOT mean there are no plans for it. The original speculated release date has been June for a while (as far back as the January issue of Q), so they've still got a while to announce the date. The problem is, most of you guys here are extremely quick to latch on to any unfounded rumors of release dates, and read way too much into any scap of info, whether or not it actually has anything to do with the release date or not!

(Sorry if I come off strong, but it's getting d#@ned annoying having people latch on to every unfounded rumor like it came from the mouth of god himself)

Regardless, the evidence STILL points to a June (maybe July) release (which is when bands do promo which is what a gig on Today essentially is)

Again, sorry if I offended anyone, just needed to blow off steam...:veryangry2:

I never took any informatin about the album to heart. I'm still waiting to hear from coldplay.com for OFFICIAL information. I just think it sucks that we have to hear all the information from different sources. the album is completed and they said we'd hear something when the tracklisting was finalised (which was last Wednesday). I guess i'm just impatient. But I never took anybody's word about the album as gospel.
