I heard somewhere that Jon recorded most of AROBTTH on his ES-335. Does anyone know if this is true? Most of the tracks on the finished record sound like the tone he gets out of his thinlines, and he doesn't seem to use the 335 often live, so I kind of doubt this...

well, he used that guitar most during AROBTTH and the AROBTTH tour, but that doesn't mean that he recorded most of the album on that guitar. I only know that he used it on the track "arobtth" but then again, he does all his slide work on that brown walnut thinline, so maybe it's just the end parts (which seem to fit the guitar). Unless we have some pictures from the recording sessions we probably won't know what guitars were played on which songs. But I think most songs, especially the first several were played on thinlines. Could be wrong.

LOL. It's his vintage Jazzmaster. I guess they thought it appropriate.
