April 25, 200818 yr I heard this expression describing the killers. Because obviously they have the sound of a british band despite being from America. What other british american bands are there? I thought of the strokes and jeff buckley, even though he's not a band.
April 25, 200818 yr True. Tey're not American, but Canada's In-Flight SAfety sound like a Brit band to me.
April 25, 200818 yr the killers and the strokes, definitely. i suppose DCFC is pretty american...do you think? the shins sound like they could be british too. but really, i have no idea what i'm talking about.
April 25, 200818 yr DCFC do sound quite american to me, but that might be just me. And when I first heard the Shins I thought they were an english band, so I guess they fit in for me :P And Powderfinger are an Australian band who I think could also pass as being an english band.
April 25, 200818 yr Powderfinger: Lost & Running Actually listening to it, I might be wrong about them sounding british, but who knows really. But they have that classic rock sound about then either way IMO. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ni_QkdyHLUk&feature=relatedAnd DCFC is Death Cab For Cutie.
April 25, 200818 yr A friend thought The Decemberists w3ere British although they sound American to me.
April 25, 200818 yr oh, thanks. and i like that song semy!Good! They've got lots of great songs which are better than that one, but not all of them are on youtube. I might bump the Powderfinger thread once i find some more videos ;)
April 26, 200818 yr Check out my YouTube channel for heaps of great Powderfinger vids. Sorry for the spam. Back on topic We Are Scientists could pass as British and I think Interpol could too.
