Yes bumpage is so :cool4:

I dunno can't be that bad....

My dear late Gran had monkey brains in China in the fifties or sixties; a great delicacy out there apparently, and (she said) was very much like firm yoghurt!

I'm not sure I could handle the set-up though (in fact I know I couldn't, and could never eat the brains myself!) For those who don't know the monkey is alive and is positioned through a hole in the middle of the dining table: head above, body below.

Then the 'waiter' comes along and lops the top off the head with a big knife. When the monkey's body has finished twitching it's time to tuck in with a spoon.

Yum! (NOT)

Several years ago, a woman told me the same story. Her daughter had eaten a monkey's brain at an African restaurant exactly the same way you've just told. I believed her but it was so nonsensical and gruesome that i couldn't figure out it could exist at a restaurant. Only to watch it would make me purk.

Me too - it's just the worst thought ever eh?!

It's interesting though, my Gran lived in Africa for many years, and it was from there she travelled to China. She could have just stayed at home and had the same dish! (Though Africa's such a huge place there are so many differences from tribe to tribe, let alone nation to nation).

I disagree

Have you seen the amount of paperwork which must be filled in after closing a thread?

And I'm behind my paperwork already, I don't want more paperwork to fill out ;)

Mmmmmmm. BRAINS! I couldn't do it either. No thanks! I'm sure they taste just like other organ meat, but no thanks anyway, lol.

So Dave, not that I really want anyone to close this thread, but what if we broaden the topic to other organs? (Shall I tell the story of how once I ate the most delicious meat-balls only to find out they were real balls...also from sheep??) Would that induce y9ou to do the extra paperwork?

Let's get Lore to close the thread :P

Her desk is all clear of paperwork as she is a good girl who does everything on time.

I think David is lying there is no paperwork required to close the thread....:p
