Larry Posted May 28, 2008 Share Posted May 28, 2008 Bought my tickets for Berlin this morning! :lol: I was surprised it will take place in the new O2 World Arena which is situated in Friedrichshain next to the Eastside Gallery. When I've been to Berlin last year I was impressed about the construction on the new arena. Will Coldplay be the first band to perform there? Larry Posted May 28, 2008 Share Posted May 28, 2008 Yeah I also read something about the "Eisbären Berlin" and that the arena is their new home for ice-hockey matches. :) Don't think Berlin had a similar big hall before. I went to see the Killers at Treptow Arena last year, but this venue wasn't very big. I see you're also going to Hamburg and Berlin? Larry Posted May 29, 2008 Share Posted May 29, 2008 Ja stimmt eigentlich! :D Wobei ich für Berlin auch Stehplatzkarten habe (die man zuerst auf eventim.de komischerweise nicht reservieren konnte, aber nachher ging es dann ja). Naja, werd wohl mal gucken wie ich das mache. Entweder ich fahre gleich mit dem Auto zum Hamburg-Konzert, penne dort in nem Hotel oder bei nem Kumpel in Kiel und fahre dann die A24 nach Berlin oder ich reserviere mir nen Ticket für den ICE. :) Das ist dann etwas stressfreier. Best regards Hyldig - DK I can recommend www.eventim.de , but Coldplay's concerts in Germany seem to be a lot more expensive than in other countries. If you need any help for translation don't hesitate to ask here. Prices for Berlin are as follows: Sitzplatz= seat Stehplatz = standing By the way, the arena is located in Central Berlin. Berlin's public transport is fantastic and very cheap compared to other cities so the venue is easily to reach from all directions. You can either use: - the S-Bahn (overground) lines , , , and to Ostbahnhof station or - the U-Bahn (underground) line to Warschauer Straße. Wenn die Benzinpreise weiterhin so explodieren, werde ich sicherlich frühzeitig Bahntickets engagieren, statt mit dem Auto zu fahren. Dazu kommt ja noch, dass ich noch nicht weiß wohin mich der Weg in dieser Zeit führt. Vielleicht wohne ich dann ja schon in Berlin haha... Larry Posted July 7, 2008 Share Posted July 7, 2008 Good question! In Oberhausen (2005) I entered the arena 1 hour before beginning and I was in the 5th or 6th row. But the O2 world arena is bigger and I heard that all German concerts are sold out now.
