Thread for the new band "The Rascals" featuring Miles Kane (Vocals/Guitar), Joe Edwards (bass) and Greg Mighall (drums).

 

they're probably my favourite new band and move away from all the normal indie music about right now....its very dramatic sounding will psychadelic guitars and powerful vocals.

 

u might recognise miles as being one half of "the last shadow puppets" aswell yes he's got 2! bands....but TLSP was more of a side project.

i know he really does..i couldnt tell who was singing in the last shadow puppets album

I didn't mind it or notice too much on the last shadow puppets- they blended so well. But when it's a different band with no Alex around, then it takes some getting used to.

alex is an AMAZING songwriter i think.......he will be in with the greats in 10 years or so...btw do u knwo how to put one of thsoe "youtube video boxes in a comment? i wanna put a rascals vid up

i saw the rascals when i went to see the courteeners down in southampton a few months ago (the rascals were supporting them)

 

and tbh none of us were that impressed by them, they had one tune that i thought was pretty good apart from that we just wanted the courteeners to get on.

 

and he is very alex turner like, i remember saying that while watching him. although then i didnt know he was half of the last shadow puppets.

In terms of the new album, Rascalize - I am very much looking forward to it. From their 2 Eps already they show glimpses of being pretty good.

 

Their new song 'Freakbeat Phantom' is an absolutely wicked sound.. I love the bass guitar in the chorus!!
