Does anyone know how to shrink a picture?

you can shrink a picture by hitting the "print screen" key, then go to mspaint and 'paste', itll paste a screenshot of whatever was on the screen when you hit the print screen key, then you can go to tools or whatever and resize it, but then youll have to get a program (i use acdsee) to convert it to a smaller file size, thats what i did for mine

I've got a mac. I don't think it works. Do you know how to shrink a picture on a Mac?
