'Somebody To Love' is one of my all time favorite songs from ANYONE. Freddie Mercury had SUCH an incredible voice. Absolutely amazing band.

 

I don't know how I feel about Paul Rogers coming in, though...... I thought about going to see them live, but that's just not the same to me.

I got onto them when my Dad used to play their CD's all the time, then he showed me the film-clip to fat bottomed girls when i was about 8 which scarred me for a while, lol, but yeah, they're great in my books-especially Bohemian Rapsody, all-time fav!

Last May when I went to Mexico w/ my two siblings and one of my best friends, (we traveled by plane) we got there and were going to rent a car. But our family there said NO nO! Toooo expensive...and being the cheepies we are, we took the extra car they let us borrow for that week. It is my uncle's car and he is pretty good in musical tastes.

 

Accidentally, he had left a (it was just ONE...the rest he took in a case) cd in the glove compartment. It was 'Queen: Greatest Hits' which consists of two cd's!

I dunno if you know, but in Mexico, you drive everywhere loooong distances! and we had to have some jams playing on looong drives

Needless to say, we heard the cds over and over because it was all we had, during that week. But we were plenty satisfied and we all became lovers of all Queen music. When we were there the last day, we purchased out own cds.

 

i can honestly not pick a favorite song, but 'Somebody to Love' is one of my favorites because its like, gospel and rock in one. And while I care very little for Gospel, the sheer goodness in the way they combined Freddy's voice, rock, and gospel in one ...blows my mind!

I just watched Queen's performance at Live Aid, what an awesome set. Freddie's stage presence and voice are just amazing. They are a great band. Not too wild about the "new" Queen though.
