ok so i got some super craptacular tickets for the toronto show on july 30th......hoping to find somthing better i started to entering my self in to ticket contested for show around canada.

 

thats when i noticed that one contest was for calgary show...

 

the weird thing was its show is also on july 30th

 

WTF im so lost is the contest wrong or is it ticket master...

 

its not like some no name is doing the contest it by a well know company

 

can anyone shed some light on this?

From what I know the Edmonton and Clgary dates are cancelled/postponed until next year. If you want to get better seats you can try the Ottawa date in October haha.

That Best Buy contest [the one giving away a trip to Calgary] started before the dates were changed. They will probably forgo the contest...or offer an equivalent prize to the winner.

 

The Calgary, Edmonton, and Winnipeg shows have been postponed...though new dates haven't been rescheduled as of yet.

^How do you know that those shows have been postponed only? Will they come next year for sure?

Its probable. Coldplay likes to make up shows for people who've gotten shafted. They made it up to NYC for their bad performance last tour so i'm guessing theyd want to make it up to the fans they annoyed when they cancelled the dates.

I don't know for certain....but I think it's likely the dates will be rescheduled at some point. The band is supposed to tour well into next year, and it's been confirmed that they will swing through North America again....so it's likely they will eventually make it to Calgary, Edmonton, and Winnipeg.
