The only pop/rock music allowed in the house when I was growing up was my mom's Nana Mouskouri tapes. Strictly classical and celtic otherwise, so it's all brand new to me. But metal gives me a headache. I love lots of different genres, they just exist elsewhere.

haha, i get what you're saying. i was introduced to all this at a pretty young age. everytime we'd take a long trip, my dad had burned CDs of Mondays songs. Tuesdays songs, etc. Even a CD called, Trip to Alabama (grandmas house) so everytime we'd travel there, he put that one in. lol he's a weirdo

Is she Greek??

Any Demis "Big Blouse" Roussos too?

Every time I see this thread's title, I think of that weird Robot voice on VH1 that says, "I LOVE THE 80'S".

I think so. Greek-American maybe?

Not big on that song, bit slow for me. But sort of.

Absolutely love the new club remix of this song, well it's old now but by Rocko Ministry I think, had no clue it was an old song, love the lyrics always gets me going for some reason.

I meant your mother, not Nana (who is definitely Greek)!!;)

Definitely not 80's but Depeche Mode - Precious is a real good song.

Ohhh that reminds me! My mother loves over seas music like Pet Shop Boys and Depeche Mode WHICH I LOVE!

Now that's more like it. :) Heh... "over seas music" :laugh3: Like it's some exotic thing.

In the same vein, New Order's "Crystal" is one of my favorite songs ever.

^West End Girls is one of my all-time fave tunes. A really iconic 80s tune, which the PSB never bettered.;)

Exaclty. :D Doesn't seem to matter what decade it is, the Brits always seem to do it better.

Completely off topic, but how big are The Kooks in the UK? A household name? I absolutely love their stuff but their virtually unknown for the most part here in Toronto.

I get the impression the Kooks are pretty big there. Know the feeling. I've given up trying to figure out who people pay attention to around here, because no one ever seems to know the ones I like. (Because they're always British...)

Haha, I love that show. I remember I love the 80s Strikes Back and I Love the 80s 3D. I've always loved I Love the 90s too. what a great show. I can't wait to see I Love the New Millenium today.

Same most of the time, tend to like bands from Europe in general, languages vary as well, I find myself listening to a lot of Spanish stuff these days and I only understand a few lines from the songs but I love it.

Talk about off topic.

I've always really liked Tears For Fears ..but overall I think the 80's had some of the best music out there

I've always really liked Tears For Fears
.

Me too!!:D

They even made a comeback a couple of years ago.;)
