for those of you who have gotten to see them live lately... WHO is playing the second e-guitar during 42?? cos I saw the bbc gig video and chris was playing an acoustic. It's minute 2:15 of 42 ...so does anyone know?

its probably a hidden guitarist, like who plays the rythm part of Yellow live when Chris just has a mic and dances and sings.

42 Live - Jonny's Pedal

 

Actually, I think it might be Jonny's Line 6 dl-4 pedal.

So Jonny's programs his pedal to loop the first riff and then he plays over it with the second riff.

 

EDIT: Ah touche stephanbass, I think you're right.

It really sounds like Jonny's Electric guitar though, but it must be Chris' pedal effects.

I only hear one electric live :\

It's chris who plays that.

 

See on the french video, right before he gets his guitar .. to the ground.

You see a few effects for Chris's guitar.

And there is also a little new pickup in the guitar.

I know he use overdrive on it.
