June 26, 200817 yr you can add the 300K of the UK from the first 3 days... and its like wow. like 3 years I'm checking this chart and I never saw numbers like this. I saw 1.2 I think but 1.6 its like the best ever... serious. and if we had the more 300K they sold like 2 million copies in 10-12 days... Unbelievable.
June 26, 200817 yr I really wish they released the album regular time in the UK. Imagine what those numbers would've been! But hey...they only proved that they ARE the greatest band in the world! Dave
June 26, 200817 yr Assez épatant !! In France the record dealers put posters of promotion everywhere !
June 27, 200817 yr yeah ive been using that mediatraffic site for quite few years now also and very few albums have had sales of over a million in their first week. especially since file sharing programs have hit the internet. i believe chili peppers stadium arcadium was not far off as they went to number one in 29 countries in their first week i woodnt be surprised is CP top the charts in just as many. do people think that VLV will beat rush of blood in terms of worldwide sales i think it had about 13 million or so which will most probably go past 15 million this year.
June 27, 200817 yr Nah I don't think it will pass AROBTTH, but I think it can match X & Y's worldwide sales.

RHDP done 1.108.000 in their first full week... coldplay like 1.8 million... so... bigger band BY FAR. :]
June 27, 200817 yr X & Y sold 27,000 copies this week worldwide, according to mediatraffic. It must be the first time listeners to Coldplay, deciding to download X and Y or something
June 27, 200817 yr It must be the first time listeners to Coldplay, deciding to download X and Y or something Plus Best Buy probably along with some other big chain retailers sold all Coldplay's CDs for like 8$ last week, so that caused a spike too.
