Hey, does anyone know when they'll do a re-run of the show? I set my TIVO thingy to record but it messed up somehow and didn't record it : ( It records the first half of the show then skips to the last few seconds : ( Or did anyone record it and is able to make me a copy? It's just not the same watching it off a website streaming it...*sigh*

Over All

 

So after the show, and after I calmed down, I took a train to San Diego for a long weekend. BTW, if ever get to take a train to travel do. Our trip came out cheaper then driving. The whole trip all that I could do was think about the awesome time that I had. On Saturday I was able to check the thread again, and I was so happy to see what everyone had written. And I was so ecstatic to find the videos that people found online and had posted on the thread, and with the whole WIKI part... that was the coolest thing ever! I have put the pics on myspace, and facebook, and all of my friends have left me comments about. This whole thing has been so cool.

 

So I am going to be putting together the LP, the tickets, the pictures, the guitar pik, the confetie, in a full frame. Ill be sure to post that when I get that.

 

My DVR did not record the whole Jay Leno, but I got the torrent that was posted, thanks! I did realize that only one song, bummer, Lost was hella cool.

We HEART Coldplay (and Jay)

 

If there are bigger Coldplay fans on the planet than my kids (and me), I would be surprised. So you can imagine McKelle and Maddy’s absolute JOY to meet Coldplay in person last week! Here’s how it happened:

 

McKelle and Maddy camped out for Tonight Show tickets the night before Coldplay was appearing on the show. The next morning my girls took it upon themselves to cheer on the band from behind a fence during a soundcheck, and eventually the guys came out to say hello. McKelle and Maddy got their posters signed by each of the bandmembers and took photos with them.

I lucked out when the girls got an extra Leno ticket, so I got to go up that morning to see the taping with them. (I’m a hip mom but not hip enough to camp out for tickets!) Jay called McKelle up on the stage when he was warming up the audience, and then our whole little group got to meet him and shake his hand. When he learned that McKelle had camped out for a chance to see Coldplay up close and personal, Leno joked that it wasn’t actually Coldplay but Koldplay, a country music band, that was going to be on the show. I was surprised by how striking Jay is in person–he has very deep and piercing blue eyes, something you can’t tell on TV.

 

But best of all we got great spots in the front of the audience to watch Coldplay perform. Viva la Vida is my song du jour this summer, so I was delighted to get to sing the wo-oh-oh-oh-oh’s with them (and the rest of the crowd) on my favorite song!! McKelle could have reached out and touched Chris Martin, he was that close. I think my girls are still on cloud 9.
