Hey ;) My friend Alilister Brown (drummer for universal remedy) is currently attempting to break the world record for the Longest Drumming Marathon in the universe ever in the history of the world! Anyway at the same time he is also raising vital funds for the Cystic Fibrosis Trust. You can currently see a live video feed of his attempt at breaking the world record via the website below, please visit to cheer him on and give generously to Cystic Fibrosis Smile

*HE HAS BEEN DUMMING NON-STOP FOR THE LAST 15 HOURS, THE CURRENT RECORD IS 86 HOURS, HE AIMS TO HIT 100 HOURS*

You can see a live feed of his world record breaking attempt at

Ali has now been drumming for 16 hours and 12 minutes! The current world record he is attempting to break is 86 hours.

that's really cool how he's doing it for charity. Go go go!!

You should re-name the thread 'my friend...' not 'man...' heyday, and you'll get even more hits on here (that your friend so clearly deserves!!)

How's he doing now?

Ali has been drumming for over 17 hours solid now and £545 pounds have been raised for cystic fibrosis through online donations alone :)

The guy is a machine, i don't know how he does it but he is not finished until he at least breaks the world record this friday night at 10.30pm but he is determind to hit the 100 hour mark which will take him into saturday at 1.00pm :D

GO ALI!!!!!!!!!

Oh my god!

How can ANYONE do that? Does he only take 5 minute naps or what? that's insane..i'd probably pass out after 2,5 days..

The most he has ever done was 76 hours, the rules of the guinnes book of records state that he is allowed up to 20 minutes break only after he has drummed for 4 hours our 40 minutes after 8 hours solid. He doesnt sleep.

He has just hit the 19 hour mark :D

My word!!

What's he drumming by the way? Different stuff all the time to keep it interesting, presumably?

I think he can play the same song only once in every 4 hours..

Probably simple yet fun stuff, anything too hard might wear him out.

One thing's for sure - that record's sure gonna be hard to beat!!
