The Workout Thread

Yeah, I need to start exercising. My dad just told me I'm getting round in the face.... He's got a point.

I have a gym membership and get personal training once a week. My arms are slowly but surely losing that horrible arm flabs that women hate. I need to do more cardio though and get back into jogging again. I'd like to be able to run and last as long as I did when I played soccer in high school.

I usually do the bike while reading a book, the elliptical machine, and the treadmill. Also just recently bought a racquet so I've started using the racquetball courts at my gym. Don't know the official rules of the game, but I figure as long as I hit the ball and run around and sweat it's all good right? :)

I do a 5X5 weightlifting workout (Mark Rippetoe's for those guys who are interested). It's good for if you want to gain weight. I've already put on 15 pounds of muscle with it, and I intend to keep going.

I'm thinking of starting to run again. I didn't run nearly at all during last summer bah, i just didn't feel like it. And as long as i don't gain weight like crazy everything is fine :P

But yeah, now i'm starting feel like i might enjoying running again

I'm not much of a gym person..simply because it costs and i don't like spending money on stuff..

edit: oh and i bike everywhere i go and i take my doggy out for at least an hour walk every day yay.

I jog everyday for two hours.

I've got some really nice legs from it :laugh3:

And I love it, I'm not lazy alt all when it comes to working out.

Oh, and I have little cousins so I get to jump rope and play with them a lot.

(Btw, jump rope is REALLY good for a work out ! Haha)

Well I've been lazy to be waking up very very early in the morning to go jog as I end up going to bed late for most of the month, but lately I haven't had the time to workout properly at all. I don't even go out for entertainment either.. (that's how busy I am:\) So I've been doing a lot of stretching.. yes stretching:P a bit of yoga and push ups..

But to run in general takes off everything and shapes you the best way. If I had the time, I would run and swim every day.

I'm doing a sprint triathlon this coming Sunday! I've never been the running type EVER. But after my mother who is 50 years old, decided to be more fitness orientated, I just had to join her. I mean if my mother can do, then my 23 year old self better be able to as well!

The biggest challenge for me is the swimming, I'm a good swimmer but can throw off my breathing and that slows me down.

I encourage anyone who never tried running before to just go out and do it! I never ran a day before I started on April 31st. And now I'm so addicted. I'll report back with my results.

Woo! I used to hate exercising plainly because I hated it when my body started to ache.

And then I found the punch bag.

Now whenever I feel like I've been lazing around too much, I strap on my gloves and enjoy a great workout that's also really therapeutic... Now I've actually got MUSCLES, can you believe? lol! My friends started noticing the change, too... It's great, cuz the results are quick! And we're not talking about WWE style muscles either, so don't worry girls. Boxing tones your arms very nicely. They end up looking Jennifer Garners! Lol! :D

I try to go to the gym 3 or 4 days a week, but sometimes I'm too tired.

And at school now, I am going to have drama classes everyday, so I am kind of exercising as well.

my workout:

1: pick up the cookie.

2: make sure it's chocolately enough.

3. and eat.

it, it breaks a sweat. :D!
