Maybe you could give parachutes another try?? I mean it doesn't get more mellow than that, just try to relax and focus on the melody and it might put you back to sleep before you know it... or try reading stuff from school!!! That should put you to sleep in a second :P

Hahaha... Yeah school stuff puts me to sleep in no time. But luckily Parachutes helped. I woke up with ipod in my ears with sound of Trouble... * I put it on repeat...* :D

Nah, wouldn't it be just as reasonable to get a new one? It's the 'slide' function that's not working anymore - it's stuck. I'm not sure if it can be fixed.
