I was looking for the live tab that Jonny plays on some high frets !

  • 2 years later...

The capo has to be on the 6th fret, that's how Chris plays it. Please tab it!!!!

Ok, there is the rythm guitar ( the same than Chris plays in live), I'll post the lead guitar tab later.

At night they would go walking till the breaking of the day

The morning is for sleeping

Through the dark streets they go searching to see God in their own way

Save the nighttime for your weeping

Your weeping

Chorus 1:
       C D Am
Singing la la la la la la lay
       F Em Am
And the night over London rain

Verse 1:
 Am C Em Am
So we rode down to the river where the toiling ghosts spring
                      C Em
For their curses to be broken
        Am C Em Am
We'll go underneath the arches where the witches are in the sea
                            C Em
There are ghost towns in the ocean
   Am
The ocean

Chorus 2:
       C D Am
Singing la la la la la la lay

And the night over London rain

Solo:
Am C Em

Verse 2:
Am C Em Am
God is in the houses, and God is in my head
                         C Em
And all the cemeteries in London
     Am C Em Am
I see God come in my garden, but I don't know what he said
                      C Em
For my heart it wasn't open
   Am
Not open

Chorus 3:
       C D Am
Singing la la la la la la lay
       F Em Am
And the night over London rain

Outro:
       C D Am
Singing la la la la la la lay
          F Em Am
There's no light over London today

and I'll join to Jin256's question :)

You're welcome.

Btw do u tune up to A or down to A

Tune up the low E string to A

Hey thanks, someone has the tabs for J's parts?

I'm working on that, maybe tomorrow I'll post the tab, don't worry.

Thanks zergio, I was gonna ask for this one, but I thought it would be too much

No worries man, I'll try to finish with the rest of the tabs that are pending.

  • 3 weeks later...

Here is what I got so far of Jonny's part:

tune the high E down to E#

e#|--12--10--9-----9b--------------12--10--9---------14--10--9----

b |----------------9------9-------------------------11-----------------11

g |---------------------------10-------------------------------------------

d |-------------------------------------------------------------------------

a |-------------------------------------------------------------------------

e |-------------------------------------------------------------------------

The final part wich in the album version is a piano:

e#|----------14--17--12s0--

b |--13/14--------------------

g |-----------------------------

d |-----------------------------

a |-----------------------------

e |-----------------------------

Well, for now I only can say that Jonny's guitar is tuned one half tone step down, I know is not necesary but that is how he play this, the same for daahf and violet hill.

I was watching some live performances and the tuning looks like eb Bb Gb D A E (but you can play this on standart)

In the 1st verse jonny plays this (You can variate some 3 for 15 in the same string like jonny does in live)

eb|-------------------------------------------

Bb |--3--------3---------3-----------3--

The Chorus like this.

eb|----------
Bb |------------------------------------------------------------14-14-14-14-12-12-12-12
Gb |---12-12-12-12-11--9-12-12-12-12---9/16-16-16-16--9--9--9--9-------------9--9--9--9
d |----------------------11--8--8--8
a |-----------------------------
e |-----------------------------

Pleas tell me how does it sounds for you.

I'll post the verse part later, i think i got it XD

sorry for the bad english.

If MosesTheMarshmallow can help me (plz) would be great¡
