Thursday night random chat (from the PFFA project thread :P )

Featured Replies

hahaha, I know, but what else is there to do this late at night? We should have a chat room or go to MSN or AIM or something... :P

Okay, so here's my story:

I live in a dormitory on my college (or uni :P) campus, and tonight we had a routine fire drill. They usually last only a couple of minutes. Well, when the fire alarm went off, some people were cooking and left the building without turning off the stove, therefore causing a real fire. And then we were all stuck outside in the cold for a couple of hours, and you could see flames in the windows! A student actually put out most of the fire with a fire extinguisher before the fire trucks even got here! Luckily, no one was hurt and there wasn't much damage to anyone's rooms because the fire was contained to the kitchen... so it's okay too laugh at it. Perhaps the first time in history a fire drill, meant to make us safer in the event of a real fire, caused a fire!! I still can't get over it!

luckily there wasn't anyone hurt!

(I'll move all our chat to a new thread in the lounge so the people won't hate us for spamming this thread with a random chat  )

oh sarah! that's awful. a similar thing actually happened on my campus last year to a dorm. this year, i've been here six weeks and my building has had 12 fire alarms, usually 3 in one day :dozey:

anyway, i'm going to go to bed, but then i have a 4-day weekend, and i get to go HOME!

home, home, where i wanted to go :P

lovely talking to you all

:( I just searched and found someone's blog saying that at 1AM after the main SNL show, there are always a ton of fans waiting to see the cast... But I'm going to the dress rehearsal, so I don't know what that means for me. Plus they didn't mention the band, just the cast :uhoh:

Well, I'm determined! I wonder if getting there way before the rehearsal/ waiting around between the rehearsal and show it'd be easier to see them. How far can they stray? :P

And that's ridiculous, Sarah! I've always imagined something like that happening at my school...

have a good night Chelsea :D

it was great to talk with you all

Whoops, I posted my post back on the project thread before I saw the link here...

...Never mind!

don't worry I moved it :P

I'm just glad the sprinklers didn't go off on my floor-- I would be devastated if all my lovely Coldplay wall decorations were ruined! Especially the ones I made last night with Chavi's butterflies...

lucky you!

ohh I loved the pics you posted with the decorations :nice:

thank you lore! :D when I was done with them I showed them to my roommate and her only response was, "You're so good at... making things!"

:D

:laugh3:

I'd say that too!

I can't make nice things... so I'm still thinking about what to do with the butterflies :P

Well, I still have a bunch (and I'm getting more from Carla! :D) so I was thinking I would just get a small poster frame and stick them all in there... pretty simple, no glue involved! :P

Mine are just stuck up on my wall because I was scared that I would ruin them in some way :P

(I only got a few because I wasn't on the floor where they were dropped)

There are some very nice Coldplayers out there who will be happy to mail you some from all over the world! There's a thread in the live section (which I started, btw... hehehe-- I'm very proud :D) called the "Butterfly Exchange" (or something to that effect) and if you PM someone who said they had butterflies to spare your address you can easily get some! :D

yeahh coldplaying people is too nice.. someone might send you some soon :D

I know, I can't believe how generous everyone is! :)

If I get to go to another show this tour, I will try my absolute hardest to collect as many as I can so I can send to everyone who has sent me some!

Hmm, I may have to check that out :)

Yeah, I have floor seats on Halloween (eeek! It's so soon!), so I'll get covered then. It was so disappointing last time when everyone below me on the floor got flooded, and none of them got anywhere near us!

They way all you guys go on youse should start a band.... and what would we call it.

a band??

:drummer:

cool!

I know! If they don't play Cemeteries of London, someone's going DOWN. ;)

they'll play it... I don't know why didn't they play it in the first US tour leg... Cemeteries and Strawberry Swing are my favorite songs of the album!

Oh, they have to play it! How could they not?! I'm going to try not to complain how I wish they would come back to NY at a time when I am home and not away at school; I shouldn't because I did get to see them 3 times this summer. :D

Anyway, get lots of butterflies, because I am collecting them! ;)

3 times? awesome

ohh yep get lots of butterflies.. I'll try to steal you some :P
