How did I know you were going to say that...

Happy Thanksgiving everyone in Canada!

A good friend actually went to Canada as an exchange student, I guess I will wish him a happy turkey day then.

How do you celebrate it?

Well, it was originally meant as a way to give thanks for the fall harvest, but nowadays it mainly means getting a day off work and eating lots and lots of food.

Families usually get together, especially since it's a long weekend. A lot of people have a tradition (at least we do in my family) of taking turns to say what you're thankful for and reflect on all the good things that have happened in the last year. Basically not take life for granted for a change.

Then there's the food- lots of turkey, mashed potato, veggies, cranberry sauce, and lots and lots and lots of pie. Pumpkin and apple pie especially (being harvest foods and all). I just got the pumkin pies for tomorrow in the oven now- should be done soon. :D

Yeah. Or tomorrow to make me feel better. 1200 words to go. :(

So how long did you have to do it??:stunned:

Sounds like a nice idea!

I've never had a pumpkin pie. Is it sweet?

Yeah. Didn't have one of the books till last night so I decided it wasn't worth starting it and ended up watching football all afternoon. I obviously regret it now.

Yep, it's delicious. My favorite, in fact. You should try it some time. *nods*

Good luck with that paper... :stunned: Had far too many nights like that myself.

I'll get one if I see them. Not sure if you can buy them over here. Maybe on Halloween.

Thanks! I just need to get myself to do it. I don't really wanna skip lectures tomorrow but I might have to.

Really? I'll have a look then. Are they in the normal pie section?

Edit. You didn't say pumpkin pies.

Are you back in England then?
