I'm A Celebrity: GET ME OUT OF HERE!

Featured Replies

I saw it on Saturday while waiting for the x-factor results. I don't think reality TV can get much worse.

Then you obviously haven't seen Celebrity Masterchef.............................

Well after Simon Webbe's exit last night, DAVID VAN DAY IS FINALLY OUT:

David Van Day has become the ninth contestant to be voted off I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out Of Here!.

The former Dollar singer received the lowest amount of votes from the public, meaning that Joe Swash, Martina Navratilova and George Takei will contest the final tomorrow night.

"I'm disappointed to leave my friends [in the jungle]. It's been a rollercoaster, but I think my work was finished," he told Ant and Dec.

David denied that he had intended to cause trouble in the camp, saying: "I did say before I went in that I wasn't going to take any nonsense from anyone... As it happens all the flak came to me because I dived right in there [over the beds]."

He also responded to Nicola McLean's accusation that he had a gameplan during his time in the jungle, saying that he simply used the other contestants' behaviour against them.

"I could only react to other people's reactions," he said. "Nicola gave me loads of currency, she made it really easy for me... I don't suppose I would've been there as long if she hadn't done that."

David backed Joe to win the ITV1 show, describing him a "good guy" who is "true to himself".

Joe Swash has won this year's I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out Of Here!

The former EastEnders actor was voted the winner by the public ahead of Martina Navratilova. George Takei had earlier exited the show in third place.

Swash remarked that his experience in the jungle had been "amazing", adding: "The whole thing was just a lovely experience. It's been worthwhile.

"It's been an amazing three weeks. I can't believe I've come out as the last one!"

Speaking about his friendship with Takei, he told hosts Ant and Dec that he "loves the man" and claimed: "If he was a bird, I'd be all over him."

I'm pleased that the right person won. He fully deserved it.

I was also glad that Martina and George were the runners-up, as they both came across as very nice people (I've had a lot of respect for Martina for a long time).
