So Should Chris thump Jonathan Toss?

Featured Replies

I'd forgotten that Jonathan Toss overstepped the mark with Chris' wife as well back in May...http://www.guardian.co.uk/media/2008/nov/21/russell-brand-jonathan-ross

Not at all! :D

Gwyneth was the one who brought it up.

He asked if she was going to have any more children and when he said "so are you going to have sex again soon?" she is the one who said "with you?"

It was then, after her prompting him, that he said he wanted to f**k her.

She was totally cool about it. This whole situation with Jonathan and Russell has been totally overblown.

I agree, she encouraged him, and was fine with it anyway. I don't think it was serious thing.

I beg to differ, since Andrew Sachs did originally complain to the BBC. Forget the 42,000 complaints. He complained and that's all that matters.

I agree that it was unfair on Andrew Sachs. But he has said himself that he is satisfied with their apology (and he said this very early on) ;)

The overreaction was when the PM weighed in on the situation.

And now dragging up every previous interview he has given...is time to move on.

Yes banks are collapsing. Crime on the rise. But hey lets see what the PM has to say about Wossy!

People need to get over it.

Possibly. I've just never found Woss funny and I don't know why the idiot is payed so much to equally fawn and insult his guests.

I remeber he called Chris once a "bloody fairy". That's reason enough to dislike Toss!

I wish Woss was off my screen. (it's easier to be subjective on this when you don't directlly fund his salary!)

He is off the screen though...for 12 weeks.

His salary may be overblown, but so is the salary of many of the controversial BBC stars. These are the people who get them ratings. I have no problem with him returning.

Andrew Sachs has forgiven, so should we.

Plus Ross was only joking when he said that about Chris, they actually get on really well. In fact last time they were on his show Chris implied they were lovers :P

Mate I have been paying George fucking W. Bush's salary for 16 years, I will trade him off for Wossy any fucking day!

Chris' little finger is funnier than the whole of Toss and the irony is Chris isn't even trying to be funny...

:laugh3: Wasn't that just a week or two after the Gwyneth thing? Or am I getting everything mixed up.

I like Ross- I look up old shows of his on youtube when I'm having a bad day and need a laugh. He goes too far sometimes, and makes me cringe a lot of the time, but there aren't any American talk show hosts half as funny as him. Well, except maybe Craig Ferguson is nearly half as funny, but he's not actually American. (And if you think Ross isn't funny at all well, pity us.) It's refreshing to see someone who will get on his guests cases about things rather than kissing their ass.

OK you win, when you put it in that context! :)

Are you the lone Democrat voter in Texas? ;)

I went to vote in the Primary and they have voting for both parties in the same place. When you go in they ask which primary you want to vote in. When I said Democrat, every one in the whole frickin building turned and looked at me like I had the plague or something. :laugh3:

I had an idea life in Texas would be like that but thought that was a silly British prejudice! :)

In some parts, no, but in most parts yes. :( I voted early for Obama because I was going to DC to see Coldplay. When I was at the train station catching the train from Baltimore to DC some ladies from Texas were there and started talking to me. I am guessing because I am also from Texas they thought we shared a bond or something. They said they were in town to ... I shit you not!..."pray that America makes the right choice" :laugh3: They asked why I was there. I told them I got a message from Obama that he needed more white women in town for the after party. :laugh3::laugh3::laugh3: They got away from me real quick! :D
