You see, I love my dog.

She's everything to me, we have a great history...

Really, i truly love her.

And some days ago a huge "thing" (can't say in english) appeared in her head, so today i took her to the vet.

They said she needs to be operated or it will blind her. But the operation is 150 euros + the medication, changing the bandaids, etc, and i DON'T have that much money, i bought a new phone this week with some money i still had left from my last salary. If i knew what i know now i would had never bought it, but that's not the matter, she can't die, please.

Sounds like it might be some kind of tumour. That's very sad indeed. If I had the money to spare, I would send it to you.

All I can do is say I hope everything works out OK.:(

Yeah i think it's a tumour... In the beginning it was really small, i thought it would pass, but it grew hugely and now i'm really scared... My grandma is going to call an animal's hospital to see if they can do it for less money, that's my only hope...

ohhh I'm sorry about it :( it's always all about money which it's a bit unfair and sad... sadly this also happens to people too sometimes... some time ago I watched in the news that a guy died because he didn't have money to pay for a surgery... and he knew that he was dying and he couldn't do anything

I hope your grandma will be able to find a place in which the operation won't be so expensive!

When she was 1 year old, she got really sick, the doctors said she wouldnt survive and gave her 2 weeks.

In those 2 weeks, i sat in a corner of my bedroom with her, slept there for days, only got up to go to the wc, i barely ate. I talked to her, all the time, told her she was strong and she would make it... She really made it, and the doctors couldnt believe it.

aren't there in portugal some kind of organization which could help you? I mean in some countries there are pro animals organizations... maybe if you search you'll find where to operate your doggy with a minimal cost

I hope your dog gets through ok. Maybe you could look for donations? Just an idea.

Hope everything turns out OK for you and your dog!!

My dog had to be put down a few weeks ago, he was very sick, and we thought it was just old age but when my dad took him to be put down, the vet saw a lump on his side which he said it probably a tumour, it was very sad....:bigcry:

good luck.. I really hope your doggy will get well :)

sorry about that DaniGirl :(

i hope you can find a way to solve it and so that your dog could get what she needs to be better. :nice:

btw aren't you bolseira? (if i'm not mistaken that is students that get some help from the governement when they live far from where they study, right?) may it could help you to get the money... i don't know :\

Awww Ari, that was so cute

The bolsa they give us it's for uni stuff, not for our pets, thanks for making me laugh though :nice:

i know the bolsa is for studies but do they control what does people do with it?...

i mean here they give you that (usually when the year has finished and you've passed all the subjects) and then you do what you want with the money. :uhoh:

happy that i've made you laugh :)

I'm so sorry about your dog, I really am.

I just want to say though that in the case of most vets, it's not juust about the money. Many of them need to charge this money to stay in business. If there were no vets, no one would help animals.

Most vets also understand your needs, and some will be willing to except your payments over time. Ask this vet if you can pay back the bills as you get the money. Most of the time, they'll accept this offer and wait patiently while you collect the money.

I really hope everything works out okay for you.

Aw Daniela. that sucks

Really I'm so sorry... if I could help ya...

I agree with Bryce, why don't you sell hamburgers or something to win some money?? :D

Here in Paris there is a veterinarian clinic that is free. It's located boulevard Bessières in Paris 18. It's for people that can't afford going to a vet. I'm sure there is one in a city nearby where you live. Have a look on a website. I hope your doggy will recover soon. I'm sure the doctor will agree if you pay him in several times instead of once. (Dentists do it as fees are so expensive). You could do a job for student such as teleprospection for instance or to sell hamburgers at a snack-bar or others.

I'm checking hospitals that could take less money for the surgery, but if i don't find any i'll try to pay several times... I'll do something.

I hope a doctor is looking after your dog. You can't wait any longer because her health will get worse. The vet will agree to be paid in several times, i'm sure. You could ask a member of your family to lend you this money. 110 € isn't that much. If i were you i'll talk with the vet, it must not be a problem.
