ip2009
Hi all. I'm not a big Coldplay collector so looking for some advice on this CD I've come across. It's a BMG Music Publishing sampler from 1999. 2 CDs, 10 tracks on each. Track 9 on CD 1 is Coldplay's Bigger, Stronger. It comes in a special orange six-panel gatefold sleeve. This would have been issued when Colplay signed their publishing contract (before their Parlophone record deal most likely) and such samplers are mailed out by the publishing company to promote their songwriters (others on the CDs are Rob Dougan, Bush, Devine Comedy, Faithless, etc.). These are short run pressings - my guess would be 1000 were done. Certainly not more than 2000. Anyone else come across one of these? I'm thinking of eBaying it in January. Space Cadet
Bigger Stronger is a Coldplay song, but i don't know/remember in which format or when it had been released. :\ good research/find btw. :)Bigger Stronger was first self-released as one of the 3 songs on the Safety EP. Later it was released as part of the Blue Room EP once they got their record contract. It makes sense that they would be using it as their main promotional song before Parachutes was recorded.
