mc_squared
I would like to burn a mV4U file to disc so I can play it on an ordinary DVD player. Could anyone please tell me what I need to convert it to, and which software I need to be able to do this? Thanks!
SueDeNimes
Hi Mark!! All I can find is that mv4u stands for "Music Videos for you"... So it is an actual file format?? Mhmm, even my "miracle cure" SUPER can't convert from this format. OR am I misunderstanding you??
mc_squared
Go to the Travis downloads thread and you'll see the file I downloaded. I was able to transfer it to disc OK but it won't play in the DVD player. It's the Rockpalast concert.
SueDeNimes
Ok, I had a look! It's an "mkv" file. SUPER or XMedia-Recode are programs which can convert this file type. To burn it onto a DVD may require extra work however. Can your DVD player play avi files? If not, I'd recommend to convert the concert into .avi, then (if you have it) use Nero to create a proper DVD... If you have more questions, I'd be glad to help! And we still haven't made a Coldplay ringtone for your mobile yet :)

winnie
Hey, there! To burn the mkv-file to a DVD please download the program 'The FilmMachine 1.6' http://members.home.nl/thefilmmachine/download.html Install the application to the folder of your choice leaving all the options as they are. 1. Launch it and press the "Open/add Movie files"-Button 2. Press Next and select the following options: Select Output-Folder (bear in mind - you need at least4,7 GB of free space!) Video Encoder: HCEncoder AC3 Encoders: Aften Aspect Ratio: 16:9 Arrange Method: Add Borders Keep the rest to its default values. 3. Press Next and select DVD-Size: 4,7 GB Audio-Bitrate: 224 kbit/s 4. If you want to burn the DVD, UNCHECK 'Don't burn DVD' and choose your settings. 5. Press Next twice and push the make DVD-Button. 6. Have a cup of tea.
