Viva la vida acoustic/piano version

Almost the same as in the PVG book.

Ā

That has the chord progression in the left hand as:

Ā

Db, Ab

Eb, Bb, Db

Ab, C

F, Ab, C

Ā

The C is Middle C. All the chords are written with the lowest note first.

Thank you very much, but what does he play with his right hand? the same notes but an octave higher?

Ā

Nothing! I'm sure live Chris just plays that with his left hand and then that goes on a loop for almost the entire song whilst he jumps around the stage, with Johnny using a keyboard to add the violin effects.

Ā

If you wanted to do a piano version then you'd keep going with those chords in you're left hand and I suppose you could just play the top note from each chord in the right.

Ā

And one more question are that that you said before exact the same notes? or are that chords? for example Bb = Bb,d, and f i have to push?

Ā

No they're just the individual notes. So for the first one you'd just play the note Db and the note Ab together.

Please help me what chris does play in this video, the acoustic version of viva la vida. And it's very important to know what the high notes are that he plays there, please look the complete video and say it to me. Because at the end or near the end the last part of the song it sounds like he plays other keys or chords

Ok the right hand plays the chord Db(1st inversion), Eb(1st inversion), Ab(root), Fm(root) I'm not 100% sure the inversion are right but they are close enough. The whole song is basically those four chords the whole time, but the inversions do change.

Ā

Ā

The left goes Db(4 beats), Eb(8 beats), F(4 beats) (single notes)

Ā

the part right before the singalong the right hand goes Db, Fm, Db, Fm, Db, Fm, Ab

Ā

You will have to figure all the passing tones out by ear, its good practice:D

Ā

EDIT: remember you don't have to do exactly what Chris does, play around with the chords, and do your own thing.
