Now this is totally random...

 

Since you all live in countries where English is the main language, can you please help me with a little something.

It's hard to translate some English words (the new ones) that are used only in chats and forums and... I don't know how to explain it. :confused:

It's just that not everything is in the dictionary and I'm not sure about some things.

But I'm not asking you that. It's about these:

 

LOL - does it mean laughing out loud or lots of laugh?

ROFL - roll over floor laugh?

LMAO - laughing my ass out?

IDK - I don't know?

ETC - etcetera?

 

I can't think of more right now but there are some other things that also confuse me. Sorry if I didn't get the above ones right!

 

And what does n00b mean?

lol means "laughing out loud."

rofl means "rolling on floor laughing."

lmao means "laughing my ass off."

a n00b is a chat phrase for "newbie," a person who is new to the forum or chat. its usually an insult.
