Anybody else a fan of the American drama series set in Baltimore?

I just watched the first episode of season 1, but I don't think I'll stick with it. I found it kind of boring.

Reading the reviews they mostly say that it started off slowly and it builds up to something special.

Starts tonight on BBC2 :)

I know, but it gets it's British Mainstream TV debut tonight (It was on FX previously), as BBC 2 are playing all 5 seasons back-to-back with an episode once a night from monday to fridays.

 

True most of the time after newsnight, but that's where Sky Plus comes in :D

ahh okay I thought I was missing something for a minute :p It's an hbo series but they are really good. Modays to Friday? WOw! We would only get it once a week. Every Sunday

Its had fantastic reviews and sounds good too, HBO always seem to make great TV.

The daft thing is they've been running it on consecutive evenings so I couldn't be bothered.

They should have shown it in normal series mode.:dozey:

I've been watching The Mentalist though.

And the BBC didn't get the repeat rights, and they can't put it onto the iPlayer, so miss an episode at the dead of night (with all the swearing I couldn't see it being any earlier) and your screwed.

 

The BBC hasn't handled it well at all in all eyes, one of the best shows in a while and they screw it around.

One thing which surpised me is that the episodes are an hour long, so is HBO the channel ad-free?

I finished watching the first season yesterday and wow.

 

However it does show that in the drugs trade you can take out the players but there is always someone ready to step in the gap.
