What gives you inspiration!

Featured Replies

You know when you get that sudden burst of Hope, and Desire, and Inspiration!

I'm interested in what makes you tick!

What gives you your newfound birth of hope.

Like, I find in my own experiences it's always Sparked by music; A song, or poetry.

For example, I was just listening to a Cover of Sufjan Stevens' 'The mind that knows itself' by A great unsigned singer-songwriter 'Thoughtless Jolly' on my ipod and suddenly it gave me this spark. It told me how to end my screenplay, The ending has always seemed a bit lacklustre but this song pushed it into my mind and I knew the perfect ending with this song.

Are there any experiences where you've listened to a song and it's just given you something like that?

Discuss, Debate.

Well, I can't really think of specific moment but I can list things that do give me inspiration. That okay mr J of D?

Here we go!

Comedy

Russell Brand, Monty Python, The Mighty Boosh, Charlie Brooker, Chris Morris, Simon Amstell, Flight Of The Conchords, The I.T. Crowd, Father Ted, Big Train, Ross Noble, Bill Bailey, Jonathan Ross, Simon Pegg, Chris O'dowd, Peep Show, Blackadder, Ripping Yarns, P.G. Wodehouse and many more!

Music

Coldplay, Razorlight, Muse, The Verve, Richard Ashcroft and loads more which I cant seem to think of right now.

I could go on for hours on the comedy front but I wont bore you

this really awesome pianist on youtube named adrian. amazinggggggggggggg omg. like, I'd kill to play as greatly as he does.

Anger inspires me to act.

Typically I'm a pretty laid back (read: lazy) and chill guy. But if I sense injustice, I'll try my best to do something about it!

With me it's the other way around, things in my life give me inspiration to write songs. ;)

COLDPLAY!!! :heart::heart::heart:

hahaha

It should really be a question mark in the thread title by the way King JD.

JD's so awesome, punctuation listens to him. If he puts an exclamation point but it's a question, then it's a question.
