I got a letter in the mail today and apparently I've been invited to this weird exchange student thing for next summer. :inquisitive:

http://www.peopletopeople.com/Pages/default.aspx

is what it's called.

I'm supposed to sign up for a meeting in my city where former trip-taker people will tell us about it and then we'd make up our minds.

Except there's almost no way I'd go, because they didn't even say how much it would cost, and I'm sure it would cost thousands of dollars etc etc etc.

But it's sad, cuz it sounds like something I would really, really like to do. My dad doesn't even think we'd ever go to the meeting thing, let alone actually letting me get on a plane to go to England/France/Italy.

WTF do they want me to go on their trip anyway is what I'm wondering, the only reason I can think of would be I have a 4.0 GPA and got a five on single AP test last year O_o I don't even speak French or Italian or anything.

I really want to go on one of those too, I had the option but it was like, 5000 dollars :mean:

Oh, look! Some life in this thread.

JEsus!!

Well I can kiss that idea goodbye. >_>

It was to go to France too.

I've always really wanted to go to France :wacky:

Seconded.

Mine was for France AND England AND Italy. :uhoh: So it would probably cost even more...

I'm listening to Kent on Youtube right now Maja

all 3? :stunned:

Yeah, over nineteen days.

I'm only hoping Canada is stupider than America and somehow it would only cost like a thousand dollars or something... I MIGHT get my dad to let me go then.

And another thing is, my Japanese teacher is taking whoever has $3,000 to Japan this summer, TOO, and I won't be able to go on that either :bigcry:

ARGH. :wacky: What song?

right now, Parlor

why do you get so many travelling opportunities there?

I guess because America wants to look cool, so encourages its fairly intelligent youngsters to go to Europe in order to make a good impression? Idk, but I doubt the government would pay for me to go, there are hundreds of others who would jump to pay thousands of dollars to go on this trip anyway. :/

Yeah, but Canada doesn't have to impress the damn international community, it's cool enough already. :shifty:

what makes us so much cooler?

Um, from what I can tell, healthcare and the "eh" thing. Maybe all the extra wolves you have lying around have something to do with it?

I actually like our flag.

and wolves

wow, that was the worst reply I've ever made. :dozey:

so whats up?

edit: oh crap, 2 in a row
