Oh, you just reminded me of something...

Do you know how people joke by putting each other toothpaste on their face/arms/legs while they're sleeping? Well. A group of boys did that a few times at the second math camp I went to this summer. (I never got toothpasted though.) The second to last day of camp I was talking with some other people and we mentioned that... and I said that one day they're going to wish that somebody puts toothpaste on them while they're sleeping...

True story... it'll all go by really fast, even though some of us don't see it, these are our best years and we should enjoy them to the fullest... one day we'll think about these times, we'll smile and cry at the same time...

I'm not sure you got what I wanted to say... :uhoh:

I understand and I've tried to get that point across to people before, they really are the best years of our lives and the ones we get the most nostalgic for.

I would explain alot more but I really can't think of the right words.

Is Ian's account being controlled by a robot? :uhoh:

why was this asked?

I'm afraid that I'll regret not doing some things one day. I definitely wouldn't want to be one of those teenagers who party, drink, smoke, change boyfriends/girlfriends every 2 weeks, but I wouldn't want to just sit at home and wait for something to happen. I think I learned some things this summer and am starting to make a balance between learning (math, physics) and spending time hanging around with friends (still no parties, thank you very much :dozey:). I also found out some things about myself and what I need to change, I lost some friends unfortunately, but gained new ones and I think I'm ready for whatever happens in the near future.

He said "hi" in a lot of threads.

I noticed that, he said hi in my thread and I came to it and i was like :o

same here, and I'm excited to start over this year a bit, ater moving away from a place where i had been known for years.

I guess it's normal to start over sometimes and change some big things in your life. I'm excited to see what'll happen because I think I've never experienced such big changes before.

you get to start over too?

I really like this opportunity because since everyone I know knew me so long they knew me when I was a completely different person and they still think thats what I am but it's not.

These people get to know who I am a bit more

In a way, yes. I already know most of the people I'll go to high school with, so we're not exactly in the same situation. What happened to me is that me and my best female friends became very different and at this point we aren't best friends (maybe will be again at some point in the future). I still have a best male friend so that's good. I met a bunch of interesting people at math camps but they aren't from my city, so I'm looking forward to competitions and new math camps or just simple trips to see them.

At the beginning of this summer I didn't expect things to turn out this way. I'm not complaining, though.

most of my friends changed so much in a bad way that I just couldnt bear t be with them anymore, it made me sad for them somehow. I still have to see if there sis a math camp. and I hope this year there is still a math competition for me to go in.

I won one this year :uhoh:

I thought my summer would be better, but eerything seems to be for a good reason :\

*high five for winning a math competition* :nice:

Yeah if you find a math camp or some other interesting camp you should definitely go. :D

thanks, I was so surprised to hear my name

I have to search around I guess

Guess what; homework's a disgrace again. :shame:

We have this science center called Petnica here in Serbia which is in a village and it's for 7th graders of elementary school (they study everything a bit), high schoolers (they pick a theme, like mathematics, physics, etc), and students and professors also come. I've never been there but I know some people who have and they say it's awesome. High schoolers need to apply for it in autumn and if they get accepted, the first meeting is in winter, lasting a couple of days. Then for those who have the will there are spring, summer and autumn meetings, also a couple of days each. Not all meetings for all themes are at the same time though, I guess because of the lack of space. :P So now I'm can't wait to find out more about it and apply, I hope I get through!

I should be heading to bed now. Ttyl.

that sounds really fun, good luck with it

and good night! :nice::hug:
