I like his music and I saw him live for free last year :)

Since nobody has brought it up yet, I suppose I should mention that he has a new album coming out next month. It's gonna be called "The Midsummer Station." I believe Bloc Party's new album comes out that same day. WHOOP.

Gonna go buy the new album tomorrow, was gonna today but I realized it comes out tomorrow haha, I haven't heard any of the new songs or anything and I'm actually excited which is nice cause I haven't gotten excited about Adam Young related stuff in a long time :3 (I kinda miss my Adam Young obsession haha)

Walked into HMV and then Good Time started playing on the radio and the first thing I saw was Adam Young's face and the CD was right there it was weird haha.

The amount of times I see Matt Thiessen's name in this booklet pleases me.

On first listen I really like I'm Coming After You (I can totally tell that Matt Thiessen helped write this haha), Embers, Gold, Take It All Away, and Dementia (yay Mark Hoppus, kinda reminds me of After Midnight off blink's latest album mixed with a few other songs on it though, the driving me crazy parts are practically straight out of it...)

Also Silhouette is very Sky Sailing, hoorah

The rest also have some good features but I'm not entirely sold on them yet

 

It still seems like he's still trying to find his place and this is a bit more generic/mainstreamy sounding altogether (but catchy) but it's still not too bad and still distinctly Owl City I would say. His vocals seem to be continuing to improve and he seems to be gaining confidence though which is good.

As well it's not all super duper happy which is a change that I actually rather welcome, like Lonely Lullaby from before was fabulous. His approach to lyrics for Owl City seems to be evolving more with every album that comes out too, less overtly abstract and such and easier to understand but the Adamy lyrics are still there despite the change in the way they are presented.

The fact that he's still making music as Port Blue makes me happy :3

Good Time is one of my least favourite songs on the album currently but omg I just watched him perform it on America's Got Talent and I like teared up and I'm just like fjfjisjjdnxj I'm so proud of him that flawless human being bdoncjjzjsjd ;n; I HAVE SO MANY EMOTIONS RIGHT NOW
