15 years ago, that's cool, well I don't like much acapulco, but backpacking through mexico would have been nice, your fav was san cristobal de las casas then? I love it too, and what ruins did you visit? I suppose oaxaca was rather nice by then

Ok guys i g2g now, goodnight. :escaping: :)

acapulco was a big fail. the humidity alone. oaxaca was beautiful. did it change a lot?

let's see the ruins. we got very dizzy on them soon. quetzalcoatl and the lot. teotihuacan......,

tikal/ guatemala was incredible. after that we left out palenque and tulum and all. don't blame us, it was a very exhausting trip, you know.

YOU HAVE BEEN APPRECIATED

yes I understand, you should have gone to cancun instead of acapulco... your fav ruins? how much time did you spend on the trip ?

Well in 2006 there was a problem with the "teachers" of Oaxaca; they took over the streets and closed the historical center, on 3 months the buildings were full of graffiti and the tourism was scared away, oaxaca has n't recoverd fully since them, I went last year and it was still beautiful, the governemnent cleaned the buildings and restored everything, but it was a disaster on 2006

we were in cancun (isla mujeres) also, and mérida. where do you live?

Mexico city... but i was born in Chihuahua, far to the north on the border with USA and lived most of my life there,

my fav ruins were the mayan guatemaltecan in tikal. i had one of my life's best moments there. why don't you like the casa azul?

yeah tikal ruins are amazing, are they better than palenque?

I want to go there, but I haven't had time/money (belive it or not a flight to palenque costs as much as one to miami for example, and of course palenque is closer) ....

Casa Azul is a nice building, a very simbolic one, but there are much more beautiful buildings than that one, and the stuff it has in there is not that impressive, as I said just symbolic, instead the Dolores Olmedo museum is much better, because it has paintings from both Diego Rivera and Frida Kahlo (like that famous broken back one) and the building is much more beautiful located on xochimilco, with green gardens, mexican dogs and peacocks

ALL HAIL GUATAMA.... ALL HAIL GUATAMA...!!!!

(bows and appreciates)

She makes me giggle!!!

yeah, we 've been to diego's studio (that's maybe the one you're referring to?),

and that was friendlier somehow. flight policies are nuts all over the world, it's a shame....

nice to have had a chat with you ricardo, see you on board. i'm off to bed now.
