what guitar would you recommend?

Featured Replies

i'm off for a new guitar (next year), what would you recommend? i prefer stuff like coldplay and other rock.

so far i got:

Ibanez Superstrat (S-S-H), black, 240€

Squier Tele Affinity (S-S), metallic blue, 160€

Fender 72 Telecaster Thinline (H-H), sunburst, 900€

last one is my newest guitar, you see, i made a jump to a new class of prices (which is "above 500€") ...

honestly, i prefer fender guitars, i'm open to all colours and the price should be between 500 and 1100€. i already testet jaguar and jazzmaster, they both are neat, but that's not my final decision.

so, any suggestions?

EDIT: or should i get myself a fender bass?

i got a squier p bass special (P and J Pickup, j neck on p body), antique burst, 230€

but i just got it for fun (well, i love music)... though i play it quite often...

or a mandolin? or violin? or acoustic guitar?

I'd go with any American Stratocaster. Im a Fender guy myself, I just love the fretboard.

With the American Strats, you can get a wide array of sounds. As well as some of the best craftsmanship in the world. Everyone uses Strats, from Edge to Mayer to Clapton to Hendrix. Cant go wrong.

You've never heard of an "air" guitar??:stunned:

I'm not sure that would help.

Indeed, it's free! :laugh3:

Well you should know, because you are a guitar!!

I'm in love with Fender 72 Telecaster Deluxe but I just have an acoustic and an "air" guitar hahaha, so get that one and let me live my dream through you hahahahahaha

yeah, the deluxe ist neat indeed!

though it's very very close to my thinline (well the only real difference is the semi-hollow body).

but maybe, yes.... (oh, by the way, the Fender American Deluxe guitars just caught my eye recently...)

From the guitars that you do have, I would reccomend something that can get you a little more distortion. Try something from Gibson. Then play around with some effects.

But if you are looking to learn a new instrument, I'd reccomend piano. Some portable-grand's are pretty cheap and provide lots of different sounds and effects. Plus with all the help of the internet you'll be learning songs in no time.

well i'm a fender guitarist, i don't like gibsons too much... and they are expensive!! the only Gibson / Epiphone guitar i might like would be a thunderbird or firebird (gibson and epiphone use different terms), but i think epi. discontinued it =( maybe a 4 string fire/thunderbird mandolin? (it really exists!!)

though i'd like to learn a new string instrument if so... and piano is one of my favourits i already play =)

a banjo?
