no the one on my avi is Jónsi from Sigur Rós

I know exactly what you mean. I feel the same way. I'll see myself in a reflection and think I look okay, but I despise how I look in photos. I despise posing for photos, too. I just can't smile on command. It feels so fake to smile for pictures. I don't even know how to smile for a picture, really. It always looks awful when I try to smile. And if I don't smile for a picture, I look lifeless, especially when everyone else around me in the photo has a giant smile on their face.

This reminds me of a song...

This is the story of a girl,

Who cried a river and drowned the whole world!

And while she looked so sad in photographs,

I absolutely love her,

When she smiles...!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

:cool4:

agh. i take the absolute worst pictures. i only see terrible pictures of myself. i'm so incredibly camera shy because of that. i've never thought i was ugly or anything but for some reason, i've always been the worst picture taker. it's terribly embarrassing. i know i'm better looking than any picture i've ever seen of me ...:\

this.

i'm self-conscious about my smile all the time.

everyone always thinks they look terrible...people are always like "no I look bad right now don't take a picture" but the person taking the picture is usually like "no you like fine". it's just a self-consciousness thing i think
