I named my iPod Frank. I'm curious if others ever give names to non-living things.

I do it too. :P Most recently I've named my computers. Some of my friends and I used to have shitty computers and when we'd refer to them we'd use names like Magaret and Steve.

I've also named fruit. I named my pumpkin for halloween "Pilton Pilsbury Pumpkin" and I named lmy apple last week "Fruit".

I named my Sansa MP3 clip "Clippy"

I named my laptop "Blanqui" :P
