Looking Ahead - Is It Time?

Featured Replies

Well, this is due to boredom and also curiosity. In August I'm gonna be a junior in high school and i'm starting to look into schools and what i wanna pick as a future career. I'm for sure I want to study architecture. There's nothing else that interests me as much. That or culinary arts... no, no 2nd choice. Architecture is my one and only choice. And until about a month ago I was really interested in The School of Architecture at the U of T at Austin... now... I want to move to a super big city. I wanna get away from this small town life. I wanna get away from the south and going to Texas is really not doing anything, even if Austin is amazing ... Now... i wanna go to the Pratt Institute in NYC :wacky:

I'm super excited for when my time to choose schools comes... and i have to have choices, right?

I was thinking about going to a university in the States more variety ya know, but I don'tknow what I'm doing yet...Oh if you go to NY (in case you've never been there) don't start your visit with areas like Brooklyn first, seriously you'd be like "wtf is this" :P or maybe it's just me, because whenever I go to visit my relatives it's always seems to be so dirty and blehhhh:P & because I compare it with where I live...

I recommend SCAD, it's in Savannah, Georgia and my friend is currently attending. I've visited him there and it's a great southern city.

Savannah College? Yeah, I've actually looked into it some. They seem to have an amazing Advertising Design Program. Definitely a school on my list, but I wanted to go farther out West, more towards the midwest US, just to get away from the east coast.

ha my personal class of 09 will mostly be failures honestly. lol im on the edge. i just graduated and have absolutely no fuckin idea what i want to do plus i never showed up my senior year. your lucky you know what you want to do. All i want to do is drink, smoke, and play golf(pick out the one that doesnt fit :). so i get to go to a community college instead of Ball State, but get to play a lot more golf and try and break 70 for once. anywho its nice to see that you already know so much about what you want to do.

dont know much about architectural schools though. even though i did take an architecture class for 4 years lol. Big cities are the best though, stick with those.
