August 8, 200916 yr I want an Einstein tattoo. Does that count? I'm not exactly a huge fan of math, but I like solving problems and equations. My dad is a mathematician (hence me wanting that tattoo) and instead of reading magazines in waiting rooms, he takes out his math book and starts working on problems. No lie.
August 8, 200916 yr i like math! but i dont really like the tough parts *hmm like geometry!?* Well now, you can't say geometry is the tough part.
August 8, 200916 yr i like math! but i dont really like the tough parts *hmm like geometry!?* oh no geometry is the best thing in math :wacky:
August 8, 200916 yr I still dont know what are they useful for? they used to be useful in the days of old when you had to work everything out in your head.
August 8, 200916 yr how to explain Logs without blowing Crests mind up due to complex of the matter From wikipedia: In mathematics, the logarithm of a number to a given base is the power or exponent to which the base must be raised in order to produce the number. For example, the logarithm of 1000 to the base 10 is 3, because 3 is how many 10s you must multiply to get 1000: thus 10 × 10 × 10 = 1000; the base 2 logarithm of 32 is 5 because 5 is how many 2s one must multiply to get 32: thus 2 × 2 × 2 × 2 × 2 = 32. In the language of exponents: 103 = 1000, so log101000 = 3, and 25 = 32, so log232 = 5.
October 1, 200916 yr Bump. :P We need a conversation. It can start if a few people say what are they currently learning.
