CPRani, Vel, jeg føler at du snakker på et språk jeg ikke forstår. Jeg er så redd. Jeg har prøvd hardt og jeg vet ikke hva jeg skal gjøre. Jeg vil snakke med deg. :D

it's not bad really :D

you made some mistakes but you can't do anything about it cause in duch you sometimes chance the position of the word .

like 'Ik kan bewegen het.' is actually 'ik kan het niet bewegen.'

Cool!!

Haha, nice :D!

I am!

Great :D

Could you explain me the difference between the collocations "Det finnes..." and "Det er..." ? They both mean "there is/are..." in English, it's simple, but in Norwegian I never know which one I should use... could you give some examples? :D

Ah, this is hard to explain, but I'll try!

The word "finnes" mean exists and the word "er" is are/is here and exaple.

Unicorns exists in fairytales.

" Det finnes enjørninger i eventyr.

There are unicorns in the wood

"Det er enhjørninger i skogen"

did that make anything clearer or is it exactly the same ?

A little easier:

You cant say that Oslo exsists in Norway, you say that it is in Norway.

Oslo finnes i Norge. <-- WRONG!!

Oslo er i Norge <-- CORRECT!!

Get it :nice:?

"Oslo finnes i Norge" sounds weird :D

But then, what's right?

Folkehøyskoler finnes i Norge.

or

Det finnes folkehøyskoler i Norge.

or

Folkehøyskoler er i Norge.

or

Det er folkehøyskoler i Norge.

?

Or is it completely wrong? :D

Det er folkehøyskoler i Norge is more correct.

But you can say, det finnes folkehøyskoler i Norge, but its kinda weird :P.

Well I found "Folkehøyskoler finnes i Norge" in my textbook (which I haven't opened for ages, shame on me  )...

How do Norwegians actually say "It's hard to explain" ? Is it "det er vanskelig å forklare" or "det er vanskelig til å forklare" ? Another problem for me

Oh, well maybe that's right as well! Are you studying norwegian?

Oh, definitly "det er vanskelig å forklare!"

I'm a self-taught, which isn't ideal, but there's no language school which gives Norwegian lessons close to the town I live in.

^ That's so awesome! You are very good!!

But why Norwegian :P?

^ That's so awesome! You are very good!!

Because I'm interested in Norway and everything what's connected with it.

(Fordi jeg interesserer meg for Norge og alt som henger sammen med det). Uh, riktig? :D

Haha, well that's awesome :D! Ja, det var riktig!

Have you ever been here?

No I haven't :( I tried to suggest my parents a holiday in Norway, but they think it's too cold there even in the middle of July :veryangry2:

I live not far away from Oslo, so I live like in the south almost.. And the weather is good! Cold in the morning but during the day it gets pretty warm :P. There are some rainy days to though :P.
