If I were to finish it,

It would be filled to the brim with angst.

Guy would threaten to leave the band of Jonny didn't leave Chris, and Chris would be completely oblivious so when Jonny left him, he'd be devasted.

But Guy would be secretly happy about it, and he would try to console Chris but Jonny can't take it anymore so he leaves. Will would have no idea so he would go after Jonny and try to get him to come back, when he finally convinces Jonny to come back, the plane they are on crashes and they end up on a deserted island.

Meanwhile Chris realises what Guy's plan is and is furious,

@ Jonny Cake,

I take it you don't like a little G/W? :wink3:

So, does anybody at all wanna try and make JC's plot happen?

Penguin? Maaaaaaaybe?

I wouldn't never be good enough to attempt it

My writing would look shit in comparison,

Maaaaaaaarie?

@ Penguin,

... Um,...

...erm,...

What makes you think that I can finish it?

@ Penguin,

But... I don't write slash.

I could try, but... I just don't.

You know when you here a country artist say they're really into Hip-Hop, or vice-versa? That the things you like to create differ greater from what you like to read, and so on, so forth.

That's kind of like me in this situation, only I've genuinely never tried to write-down slash. So... I dunno.

You could make it very fluffy?

Because fluffy is fun to write!!!

Experiment!!!

Try it out,

You might really get into the swing of it, :D

Plus you'd be doing a lot of Careful Where You Stand-fans a big favour and giving them closure  heehehehe

Hmm, I'll think about it.

It also gives me an excuse to read the story again, at least. :D

I would also like to know what other readers/writers think about this, mostly so I won't upset anyone/be accused of stealing the original author's work.

Does that make any sense?

I think that the author of careful where you stand was the only coldplayer who had the courage to write proper dirty scenes  so maybe that will be the difficult part of re-writing it

Well, it's not the dirty scenes, and I'm not talking about re-writing the entire thing, just more of picking up where she left off. And trying to recapture that writing style so that it is a seamless transition from one creator's mind to another, making it feel organic for the reader, and doing the story-itself justice.

(but the dirty scenes could be a problem)

That does make sense,

But I think it is a good idea! :D

I haven't read it in ages, I will end up rereading it soon :D

But I don't think it would upset anyone,

I know, but don't you wanna go from chap. 14 to 15 without reading each sentence, thinking, "This was written by someone else. There's a ten year-difference between this chapter and the last. Let's look for all the inconsistencies in the plot and characters because no two people can have the same writing technique."

But that's how people are gonna see it either way, so all you can really do is try your best and hope you don't butcher the story.

^^

I think everyone who has read it will remember, :D

I remember Chris getting whacked with the pool cue

I remember Chris getting whacked with the pool cue

Yeah, I remember that, too.

Anyways, a spin-off.

How would that work out?

It basically means that you are putting your own little twist onto it,

So it doesn't have to be written in the same style or anything unless you want to,

Hmm, I'm still unsure.

Seriously, Penguin, why don't you try it? And don't say your writing's crap, because JC and I both know that's not true.
