It's basically where they match you up with a kid from a troubled home and you mentor them for a few years. Take them to do things for a few hours a week. Essentially you become their big brother.

my power was just knocked out by a scary thunderstorm. was ridiculous. :| lightning was hitting all around the neighborhood D:

yeah well i was just watching ridiculous lightning (and i had a moment of genius where i was like "i should sit in the middle of that field so nothing will be blocking my way" :|) and it was really awesome and i was swinging and it kept turning everything red and it was like grey out and it was like permanent thunder noises and i had my ipod and it was so pretty and awesome :wacky:

 

and then i decided to walk home because wind gusts started blowing me/the swing sideways

 

and then it began a downpour

and hail

so i was walking home in like the worst downpour i've ever seen

and it was 9 pm

and then i got splashed by a car

and the water was like a foot high in places by the time i got home and i think no part of me was dry

and it was pretty

 

and yeah

strangely, this made today my favourite day of summer :|
