Coldplay's Next Album

Featured Replies

Christmas Lights could be their greatest song ever, if they just change it to a non-Christmas song. Don't get me wrong, Christmas music is great, it's one of the best parts about Christmas, but if Coldplay released it AS A CRISTMAS song I could only listen to it in December.

If that makes sense.

it does make sense. :)

Prospekt's March like tunes.

I would be so stoked.

Hopefully late 2010?

I don't expect another album from them until the end of next year.

Right now they're still touring, and I don't think they're even thought about recording new songs yet.

I hope if they release it they change the lyrics just a bit though. "Six feet of snow" is... a lot. :shocked2: I mean that's the kind of snow that was caving in roofs back home last winter. Even on Chrismas that much snow is not fun. ;)

Haha, true but I have gotten like 4-5 feet of snow! I live in Chicago. ;P I think he is just being descriptive and giving what he can. It sounds pretty put together.

I listen to Coldplay's Christmas songs all year long!

As long as it's Coldplay, I could listen to it every freaking minute.

Hey fellow Illinois resident! :D I've only lived here a couple years--does it really snow that much here or only up by the lake? I'm in Chambana so it's a bit further south. I was rather disappointed by last winter's lack of any respectable accumulation. :p

Anyway my point was just that I hear "six feet of snow..." and am instantly put into a panic instead of a happy festive Chrismas spirit. ;) hehe

I hope it takes them a while (like 2 or 3 years) they don't need any more exposure anytime soon

It happens rarely... but it's happened!

Same here. I love this guitar instrumental version of Deck The Halls I heard once, but I can only listen at Christmas time. It just doesn't feel right in May.

I listen to River by Robert Downey Jr. all year 'round.

Yes. As much as I love them in concert, homeboys need some rest. :):):)

they will have rest and before we know it another album will be in the works and we will have a whole new record in front of us. I'm betting at least two years as well, or the end of 2010 would be nice

Glen Hansard has a new album this October, and O.A.R. will have a new album next summer. I'm all set until early 2011 so take your time Coldplay.

I red an ITV of Chris at the airport last week and he said that next album will be for 2011.

I don't take this for granted considering they are really early in the creating process....The date may change and be postponed (X&Y still in my memory...)
