August 21, 200916 yr A Sales Advisor in JJB recently talked me into getting some "advantage" card. I basically agreed to get it because I wanted her to shut up and process the transaction. I then received a letter a few days later saying that they couldn't give me a credit card because my credit rating was too bad. :thinking:

Store cards are only good when they give you a discount.

August 24, 200916 yr ugh, I applied for a credit card last Thursday. They (the bank, a well-renowed one in the US) will tell me this week if I get approved for either $500 or $1000. I'm guessing I'll get it for $500 since my only income was my summer job and my financial aid at school. I hope they reply quick, I need to buy my textbooks on Amazon
