Painting Your Guitar

Featured Replies

I know it's becoming a little bit of a cliche but I really want to do it for a gig I have on Halloween night. What type of paint should I use?

I totally wanted to do that :)

Just like Chris <3

I guess it needs to be a special kind of paint.

You can get them at your local music store but they're super expensive.

I suggest acrylic.

You need to sand down the guitar too, so the paint doesn't chip.

That means you'll need sealer.

That, you can get at your local music store. :D

Don't paint your guitar because Coldplay does it to, never do that!

What if they next tour have guitars without paint? Are you removing it and destroy your beautiful guitar? :)

I agree! ....if you do something to your guitar you should make it original and something that will be unique to you only...as chris has done with his guitar :)

You can also use self-adhesive foil - this paint, stick on the guitar and remove later ;)

You know that you can't just paint a guitar?

I changed my bass color once and you have to do alot more than just paint to keep it look good.
