Where The Wild Things Are

A thread for the brilliant-looking movie (which comes out on October 16) and for the awesome children's book.

I want a wolf suit like Max. :wacky:

This looks pretty damn awesome!

I'm into animation, and the effects on the faces are pretty spectacular. :cheesy::D

I always saw it as a story about child abuse. A neglectful mother starves her son for so long he begins to hallucinate and see vivid worlds with wild things and adventures. A true American tragedy if you ask me. I think they got the story wrong in the movie.

I hope you're joking.

I really want to see it, but no one will go with me :(

I was supposed to see it today with my sister-in-law but I'm still sick. Hopefully tomorrow I will be well enough to watch it. Some friends of mine went and said it was amazing.

Just got back from seeing it! It was really damn awesome.

Super symbolic.

And Spike Jonze did a fantastic job getting the message across.

And like I said, the animation was great. :nice:!

I saw it on Friday, it was absolutely lovely. There were some parts that I didn't like as much as I could have (I can't remember anything specific right now), but overall it was fantastic. The cinematography was so so brilliant, and I bought the soundtrack, which is awesome. Oh, and yeah, the animation was great!

Excellent movie, I'd love to see it again. Oh, and I want a wolf suit like Max. :wacky:

#1 movie this weekend at the box office! I'm going this coming weekend.. can't wait to see it. I hear the message translates very well... and adults need to see this!

I loved the movie. I read the book all the time as a kid. I had a wolf costume like Max. :P

The soundtrack was pretty awesome too. I liked the bull the best, lol even though he only had like one line in the whole movie.
