Can Coldplay do a concert in the Middle East?

Featured Replies

:lipsrsealed2::lipsrsealed2: Hello to all and God Bless--Any chance that Coldplay would consider a concert in the Middle East--with major amounts of security of course in 2010?

I doubt they'd get the insurance to cover the event

Well, in some Middle Eastern countries (like Iran) live music is forbidden. (Or is it just foreign music?) But I do hope that someday Coldplay comes to the Middle East.

Or the license from the country.

Didnt they play in Dubai? THat is UAE, and its in the middle east...

So if you mean places like Iran or Saudi Arabia, they prob wouldnt play there because there isnt a huge fanbase... so idk

Dont assume that these countries are against music because that just shows how ignorant you are.

They played in Abu Dhabi last March. Live music is allowed in most Middle Eastern countries except for probably Iran and Saudi Arabia (I think). We get concerts by Western performers all the time in the UAE.

It's probably that there aren't as large Coldplay fanbases in the other Middle Eastern countries :\
