I also liked follow and how you sang along with it, sounded good. I like how the songs are very layered and have a lot going on, but not too much or overwhelming. What program did you use to make these songs, and how did you go about writing them? I've tried to write electronica-ish songs but they never turn out so great. Fitz (Nick right?) I agree w/ eddie... I can definitely see the Glen Hansard influence in Still. I think your voice works really well w/ the songs. I really like the subtlety of the single guitar notes in Here to Stay. I also like how the song progressively builds up. A slight suggestion for this... I might make the vocals slightly louder because it's a little difficult to hear. I also like the vocal harmonies on it as well. good job you guys! any plans on either of your releasing an album/ep anytime?

I used Renoise which is great (once you know what to do :P) I basically start off experimenting with stuff, and if it works I'll build up a structure or whatever :)

I keep forgetting you're so young but you have a great voice and incredible musicianship for someone of 12(?). TIP: Any vocal elements you desire whether it be strong falsetto or growly sounds or even screamo, start practicing now. I started singing along with Coldplay at about 14 and my falsetto was terrible at the start (I couldn't sing along with Spies), but eventually it got better and better and now my falsetto is possibly my strongest technique. Practice things slowly now and by the time your voice fully drops you'll have all the tools to go with an already good voice.

I know for me that it's often a hassle to try to record a song and then mix it to get it sounding good. I might try to do an acoustic/stripped down ep myself... i dunno. At the moment I'm not in a band. I do jam w/ one of my friends and we might try and start up a band... we've been writing little bits and might want to work on those. At the moment I am just a one man band so I write, record, and play all my instruments. I guess I pull a Paul McCartney and what he did w/ his early solo releases (McCartney and Ram, as well as Chaos and Creation in the Backyard). Although it can be a pain to record on my own it gives me more creative power to how I want something to sound, but the downside is that a. it takes a longer amount of time to record, and b. i only have up to a certain amount of skill (i can't solo on guitar, etc).

January 18, 201016 yr I really want to try falsetto. Thanks btw, and yeah 12. Another suggestion. If you can, get a private vocal coach. Even though you already are on a really good path, a vocal coach can help in ways you can never imagine, and if you start really practicing now, there's no limit to how great of a vocalist you can become. And I like writing reviews, so tomorrow I'll listen to your stuff closely and write you a review to knock your socks off, it's a wee bit late tonight though. Yeah, the mixing on Here To Stay didn't take very long, but it was still quite annoying. An album with more added would require a lot of care, but some of the stuff I have in the works is so far beyond what anyone has ever heard from me it would be worth it. I find myself often lazy and discouraged because recording stuff all on your own can be quite a daunting task.
