I think that it has the potential to sound really great! I would however just perhaps work a little with the ryhthm in accordance to the drums... it feels like they go off at times. Also I would add a more dynamic bass, or the bass sounds at least out of tune to me. I really really liked the billy joel cover. I'm familular with that song and I think that you got it down really well! I wish I could play piano like that! I didn't get a chance to listen to the rest but I plan to and I'll let you know what I think. heresjohnny... I was originally going to sing on it, but then I was reminded that my voice sucks, so that's why it's seems sorta empty and a little too long (imo). :edit: If you do actually listen to the fragments stuff, go ahead and skip 'piano' as its just an idea that didn't do anything with, and for some reason VDL 1 keeps going for 50 sec. after the track is finished. oh, and I finally took a look at your myspace page, and all of it is just tremendous. Transit of Venus has a sort of hearing damage vibe, and all of your tracks have rich, chill vibe to them, although the warmer almost tropical feel of 'the park' and 'breathing underwater' provide a great contrast. Your voice is also very listenable, so even the longer tracks like 'spring forward' and '4 seasons' never really get tiresome, but could easily keep on going. There are moments throughout that remind me of early brian eno for some strange reason. I'll keep listening and tell you if anything else stands out, but so far I'm really liking it!

Thanks for listening! :D I'm actually the same way w/ drums. Since I don't have a full drumset I have to use a midi keyboard to have drums (which most of the time I just play along to the song with). I'd be nice to have the real sound of a drumset, but I don't have the money or room to have one.
