WHO IS BETTER?

 

I saw the White Stripes in concert Thursday. Jack White was very impressive. You don't realize how little Meg does until you see them live. I came away from that show thinking Jack White might been the best frontman in rock today. He was just that good.

 

Jack Black is entertaining, but he's no Jack White, IMO.

Wow, Sarah. I couldn't disagree more. To me, the White Stripes are one of the ebst and most important things to happen to rock in quite some time. It's so hard to say something like that considering topics like this don't engender themselves to any kind of objectivity, but with that in mind let me just add that beyond the whole "industrial minimalism" thing, Jack White writes rally good pop songs. The topics have a high degree of universality to them while the structure is traditional. That's pretty much a recipe for longevity right there.
