I'm going to watch, but so weak compared to last year. 2009 had Radiohead, McCartney, U2, Coldplay, and Robert Plant. This year is crap.

this year was crap....except for Kings of Leon taking 3 home :wacky:.

I thought DMB was strong. Oddly, I liked Beyonce, too.

Best part about Taylor Swift's performance came when Stevie Nicks was able to drown out her voice. I like Taylor, but that girl is tone deaf.

^seconded... xD

my favorite performances were Lady Antebellum, Zac Brown Band, Pink... and Maxwell cos I like his song :wacky:

The thing about pop music (I know this is a generalization) is that it doesn't usually translate well when it is performed live. Most people like pop because they appreciate the high production value that goes into the songs. When played live, they are either weak or must be sung over playback.

Another thing I don't like about many pop artists is that they don't write their own songs. As much as Taylor Swift sounds like a horse, I respect that she writes her own songs and can play multiple instruments.

I really like pop music when it sounds genuine and organic. That's a hard thing to find, though.

^I totally agree.

I have a lot more respect for artists that write their own music. Also I do find that pop artists live usually aren't as good. I mean I've seen videos on youtube of Michael Jackson and it looks like he's lip-synching. I don't really blame him because he must've been exhausted from dancing and moving, but still... I find it disappointing when artists do that.

For example... I was majorly disappointed when I found out that Roger Waters (bass player for Pink Floyd) lipsynched like 3 of his songs live.

When i woke up this morning, and i put my radio on, i heard taylor swift won a grammy for best album..:\ so i immediatly knew the grammys sucked :)
